We specialize in delivering cutting-edge, high-speed packet and optical networks. As a Network Engineer based in Portland, Maine, you’ll step into a hands-on role where your technical expertise directly drives successful service provider deployments across North America.


You will build real-world, scalable Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks using the latest tech from Nokia, Cisco, Juniper, and Ciena.

You will lead — acting as a mentor to field engineers and the go-to expert for solving advanced network challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the full lifecycle of packet network deployments—design, commissioning, integration, and testing
  • Be a part of a collaborative environment with field engineers and project leads to ensure the smooth execution of Layer 2 and Layer 3 installations
  • You will be acting as a trusted technical advisor to customers, helping shape best-practice designs and addressing unique challenges
  • You’ll be taking ownership of advanced troubleshooting, provisioning, and system validation activities
  • Leading training and mentorship efforts for junior engineers entering the world of packet networking
  • Contributing to process improvements, documentation, and technology research as we scale deployments across North America



Required Skills

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in configuring, deploying, and supporting packet networks
  • Strong understanding of Carrier Ethernet and MPLS networks, along with routing/switching principles
  • Experience working with Nokia, Ciena, Cisco, and/or Juniper platforms
  • Mid to advanced certifications preferred: NRS-I, CCNA, JNCIA or higher (NRS-II, CCNP, JNCIP, or SRA)
  • Confidence in customer-facing engagements, both independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive mindset, with excellent communication skills and a passion for continuous learning
