About the Role
At Robots & Pencils, we’re looking for a Lead Full-Stack Engineer to take ownership of a major digital transformation initiative focused on building a custom ERP system from the ground up. This is a highly technical, hands-on role where you'll lead engineering efforts, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help shape both product architecture and delivery strategy.
In February 2025, we opened our new office in Lviv, Ukraine, as part of our commitment to expanding our global reach. We’re actively growing our Ukrainian team and inviting skilled professionals to join us on this exciting journey. You’ll be part of a global, distributed team working on high-impact products with talented colleagues across North and South America and Europe.

What You’ll Do
- Lead a cross-functional engineering team to build a custom ERP platform from scratch
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable front-end and back-end systems using modern technologies
- Collaborate with product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Define and uphold engineering best practices, including code quality, architecture decisions, and team processes
- Perform hands-on coding and review pull requests from team members
- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and system architecture discussions
- Mentor developers and foster a collaborative, quality-driven team culture
- 8+ years of experience in software development, with strong full-stack engineering expertise
- 1+ year of experience leading a team or mentoring other developers
- Deep proficiency in React.js, Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL
- Experience working with GraphQL APIs and deploying to cloud environments (AWS preferred)
- Strong understanding of modern system architecture and design patterns
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Upper-Intermediate English level (written and spoken)
- Experience building ERP or large-scale enterprise platforms
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code or serverless architectures
- Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
