Our client, a fast-growing player in the digital payments space, is looking for a PHP Developer with proven experience in developing e-commerce plugins, particularly for platforms such as WooCommerce, Magento, PrestaShop, and OpenCart.
Requirements
We’re looking for a PHP Developer who has:
- Solid experience developing e-commerce plugins, particularly payment-related plugins for platforms such as WooCommerce, Magento, PrestaShop, or OpenCart;
- Hands-on experience working with WooCommerce APIs and a strong understanding of recent changes (e.g., block-based checkout);
- A modern approach to UX in checkout and payment flows, with awareness of how leading competitors design their plugins;
- Strong PHP skills and a solid understanding of WordPress and plugin architecture;
- Experience integrating third-party payment gateways and working with API-based payment providers;
- The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of plugin design and execution, while also collaborating effectively with the internal team for guidance and feedback.
As a PHP Developer, you will:
- Lead a full rewrite of the company’s WooCommerce plugin to ensure compatibility with the latest block-based checkout flow;
- Modernize the current payment flow to improve user experience and align it with industry standards;
- Work closely with internal technical stakeholders to integrate new WooCommerce APIs and ensure full compliance with platform requirements;
- Provide insights and suggestions for enhancing payment interactions based on best practices in plugin design;
- Maintain high-quality coding standards and write clean, secure, and maintainable code;
- Collaborate and communicate progress regularly to ensure project milestones are met.
