Software Engineer II, Commerce

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
• 1 year of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with analyzing, debugging, and understanding distributed systems.
• Experience with software development in C++.
• Experience in multithreaded programming.
• Experience with infrastructure systems.

We support and partner with the commerce ecosystem, from large retailers to small local merchants, to give them the tools, technology and scale to thrive in today’s digital world.

Responsibilities

• Work across multiple key shopping initiatives to design, build, improve, and maintain large-scale, distributed, infrastructure storing history of shopping data and make it accessible and useful to external and internal users.
• Develop the infrastructure in order to launch new products or improve the existing ones as well as analyze, debug and understand the performance of a large-scale distributed system and how to improve it.
• Implement ways to reduce resource usage, improve efficiency and participating in an on-call rotation to protect our users against outages.
