Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding career? We are currently looking for a highly motivated and qualified Frontend Developer (m/w/d) to join our client's IT team in Zurich.

In this role, you will work on a specific project critical to video uploads and sharing, participating in the development process across the stack (TypeScript frontend, C++ backend, native mobile code).

Our client's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. Our client's products need to handle information at massive scale, and extend well beyond web search.

As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to our client needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward

Your responsibilities:

Build functionality related to video uploads, potentially participating in the development process across the stack (TypeScript frontend, C++ backend, native mobile code).
Improve the maintainability of the team’s codebase, tests and internal tools.
Develop new frontend components by working with UX partners.

Your profile:

BA/BS degree in software engineering or related field or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
2 years of experience with front-end and user interface development.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in Angular, React, Polymer or other web frameworks.
Experience working on frontend/web projects.
Experience in mobile development (React Native, Flutter or Java/Objective C native code).
Experience developing features in a "full stack" environment (user-facing, but not limited to the user interface and including other technologies such as serving, testing, etc.)
Experience writing and maintaining tests that verify functionality and prevent regressions that can happen in a more complex (multi-layered) environment.
Experience writing or maintaining a feature in an iOS environment, using either Objective C or Swift
Experience writing or maintaining a feature in an Android environment, using Java is a plus
Fluent in English.
