Mid-Level .NET Software Developer (Finance)
About the Role
We are an advanced software engineering team developing mission-critical systems for the global finance sector. Our solutions sit at the intersection of applied mathematics and enterprise software, transforming complex financial processes into scalable and robust platforms. We are looking for a Mid-Level .NET Developer with a strong analytical mindset who enjoys tackling technical challenges and building high-performance systems that stand up to real-world demands.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance, server-side components in C# for financial operations and risk management
- Build and maintain APIs and microservices supporting data, compliance, and analytical workflows
- Work with SQL Server and Entity Framework to design and optimize relational data structures and queries
- Develop web applications using ASP.NET MVC, Angular, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Collaborate with analysts and consultants to translate mathematical requirements into working code
- Write robust unit and integration tests with a focus on numerical precision and system stability
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and technical design sessions
- Support CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years’ professional experience in software development
- Degree in a numerate discipline (e.g. Maths, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering)
- Strong command of C# and the .NET ecosystem
- Sound understanding of object-oriented and functional programming concepts
- Experience working with SQL Server and Entity Framework
- Full-stack development experience with ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks
- Strong problem-solving and mathematical reasoning skills
- Clear and confident communication in English (written and verbal)
Desirable:
- Previous experience in financial services, insurance, or actuarial technology
- Familiarity with Azure, REST APIs, or automated testing tools
- Understanding of investment products, fund structures, or performance reporting
