Help us shape the future!
Join our Data Engineering team at Byborg and help power LiveJasmin, one of the world's largest video streaming platforms with millions of users and high-throughput systems. You'll work at the intersection of large-scale data processing, experimentation, and personalized user experiences — building the infrastructure that enables insight, innovation, and strategic decisions across the business.
This is a high-impact role where your work will be felt across product development, user experience, and business intelligence. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, analysts, and product teams in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where data truly drives decisions.
What you will do:
Build Scalable, Reliable Data Infrastructure
- Design and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using BigQuery, dbt, Dataform, and Cloud Dataflow.
- Ingest and model data from diverse sources including GA4, event streams, and internal platforms.
- Build well-structured fact and dimension tables to enable granular analytics and personalization.
Ensure Data Accuracy and Trust
- Implement automated data validation, anomaly detection, and backfill systems.
- Monitor and improve pipeline reliability and data transparency.
Enable Analytics & Product Experimentation
- Collaborate with analysts, product managers, and CRO teams to turn business questions into scalable solutions.
- Support and enhance our A/B testing infrastructure (segmentation, statistical testing, lift calculations).
Optimize for Scale and Efficiency
- Tune workflows for performance and cost-efficiency using tools like Airflow / Cloud Composer.
- Identify opportunities for optimization across storage, compute, and orchestration.
- Promote a Data-Driven Culture
- Develop self-serve dashboards and semantic models using Looker (or similar BI tools).
- Champion best practices for data modeling, versioning, and CI/CD for analytics workflows.
What we are looking for:
Core Skills
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
- Strong SQL and Python skills; experience with data modeling and pipeline development.
- Solid understanding of the Google Cloud Platform ecosystem (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage).
- Hands-on experience with tools like dbt, Airflow, Spark, or equivalent.
Analytics & Experimentation
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies, including statistical significance and uplift measurement.
- Experience working with analytics or data science teams on experiments or models.
Collaboration & Communication
- Strong cross-functional communication skills — able to align with product, engineering, and business teams.
- Capable of explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Bonus points:
- Experience with Looker or other modern BI tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD for data pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools.
Join us for:
- Impact: Shape the data backbone of a global-scale product used by millions.
- Growth: Expand your skills across cloud architecture, data engineering, and experimentation.
- Culture: Join a collaborative, data-driven team that values innovation, autonomy, and technical excellence.
