Java Developer (Spring Boot & Microservices)

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join a dynamic team in Amsterdam. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java 8+, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture, along with hands-on experience in the full software development lifecycle, including post-go-live maintenance. This is a hybrid role requiring one day per week onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure applications using Java 8+, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Build and integrate Web Services (REST/SOAP).
• Manage code using Git and collaborate via Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Use Eclipse or IntelliJ IDEs, and manage builds with Maven.
• Collaborate in Agile teams, actively participating in planning, review, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to deployment pipelines and have a basic understanding of Docker.
• Provide end-to-end (E2E) support, from development through post-go-live maintenance.
• Work directly with customers and stakeholders; strong customer-facing and communication skills are essential.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years of professional experience in Java-based development.
• Strong expertise in:
• Java 8 or higher
• Spring Boot
• Microservices architecture
• REST/SOAP Web Services
• Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Git
• Eclipse/IntelliJ, Maven, Jenkins
• Docker concepts
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Proven customer-facing experience is a must.

Additional Information:

• This is a hybrid role: 1 day per week onsite in Amsterdam.
• Applicants must be based in or willing to relocate to the Netherlands.
