In het kort: Je gaat complexe onderhoudsprojecten beheren voor de upgrade en vervanging van hoogspannings- en SCADA-systemen in Nederland, met focus op veiligheid, budget, kwaliteit en stakeholdertevredenheid.

Europe’s energy transition is among the greatest challenges of our time. Its goal: To make Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050 at the latest. The Netherlands and Germany have therefore set themselves ambitious goals to expand offshore wind energy: as early as 2030, Germany and the Netherlands want to reach a capacity of 30 and 22.2 Gigawatts, respectively. Energy from offshore wind farms in the European powerhouse North Sea will play in this a crucial role. TenneT guarantees that this energy will reach the mainland – and in the most environmentally friendly way possible. That is why we have developed the 2GW program with a unique transnational approach. And thus increase the pace and efficiency of the energy transition.

For TenneT we are looking for a Project Manager for the SCDA update project.

Role

You will be responsible for managing complex maintenance projects related to the upgradation and replacement of High Voltage (HV) and auxiliary SCADA systems in the Netherlands. These systems are essential to offshore grid connection systems and interconnectors. The projects focus on ensuring continued operability, eliminating vendor support risks, and addressing cybersecurity threats. Projects will be delivered with a strong focus on safety, budget, quality, and timely execution while ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.

Your Main Responsibilities

– Successfully plan, execute, and close OT SCADA upgrade and replacement projects, including IT and OT infrastructure.

– Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, including scope, planning, resources, cost control, risk management, communication, and documentation.

– Ensure compliance with all permits, specifications, project governance, and contractual obligations.

– Lead interdisciplinary project teams and coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders.

– Work closely with grid connection execution teams and technical specialists.

– Provide and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, risk registers, and reporting.

– Contribute to the improvement of project governance and PM tools and serve as a mentor for junior project managers.

Conditions

– At entry, TenneT performs a Pre-Employment Screening; UVO screening applied as well, this will be done in parallel.

– Scale 9 (collective labour agreement TenneT TSO);

– Duty station for this position is Arnhem Rijnpoort for min 2 days a week (Monday and Wednesday fixed days), other days hybrid.

Availability

– Important, the candidate has to be available throughout the entire duration of the assignment.

Functie-eisen

LET OP: Het is voor onze opdrachtgever noodzakelijk dat je aan al de gestelde functie-eisen kunt voldoen. Dit moet overtuigend blijken uit je CV. Alleen dan is reageren op deze opdracht zinvol.

– (Bachelor or Master) in Engineering, Industrial Engineering & Management, or a related technical field. – 5-7 years of experience managing complex infrastructure projects, preferably in HV electrical or offshore environments. – Technical knowledge and experience in one or more areas: high voltage secondary systems, GIS switchgear, Siprotec protection devices, HV SCADA or process control systems (e.g. Honeywell Experion, Hitachi, Siemens). This is a must. – Understanding of mechanical and process systems such as Transformers, HVA/C, fire safety systems, CCTV, analyzers, and LV/UPS systems. This is expected. – Familiar with IT/OT network architectures (e.g., Purdue model) and their interfaces. – Knowledge of cybersecurity standards and best practices in OT environments (IEC 62443 / ISO 27001). – Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, IPMA D or higher). – Proficient in English and min B2 Dutch. – At entry, TenneT performs a Pre-Employment Screening; UVO screening applied as well, this will be done in parallel. – Duty station for this position is Arnhem Rijnpoort for min 2 days a week (Monday and Wednesday fixed days), other days hybrid. – All submitted candidates must be in possession of a valid Passport or ID card, which must be taken along to the interview and at the start of the assignment. – The candidate has to be available throughout the entire duration of the assignment.
