About the Team

Financial Markets (FM) has expertise combined with deep local market knowledge to deliver a variety of risk management, financing and investment solutions to our clients. The FM team offers capabilities across origination, structuring, sales, trading and research. Offering a full suite of fixed income, currencies, commodities, equities and capital markets solutions, FM has firmly established itself as a trusted partner with extensive on-the-ground knowledge and deep relationships.

Project

As a senior developer, you’ll be driving our platform forwards and delivering quality solutions to business-critical customer requirements. You will collaborate in a dynamic global team with fellow technologists, business analysts, project managers and business stakeholders across multiple locations.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with fellow developers, financial market infrastructure experts, testers, architects and operations teams to deliver working solutions.

• Acting as A Senior JavaScript (TypeScript) developer with good software design principles and the ability to write robust code and accompanying test suites

• Take responsibility for identification, estimation and reporting on of progress of tasks.

• Ability to write efficient, clear code and be able to articulate what has been implemented and why

• Develop a deep understanding of the mechanics of required Financial Markets applications and applying this knowledge.

• Take ownership and responsibility for the full development lifecycle

Mandatory Skills Description:

• An excellent Core JavaScript & Type Script developer with good software design principles and the ability to write robust code and accompanying test suites (8Y+ years overall with Front End technologies)

• Minimum 5+ years hands on development with investment banking IT experience

• React, npm/yarn and webpack

• Strong CSS

• Single page modular application development

• Understanding of real-time (event-driven) application development

• Ability to develop latency sensitive systems

• Financial Market domain knowledge

• trading technology experience or equivalent

Highly expected:

• Familiarity with RX & Java is a plus

• Familiarity with git and Atlassian toolset

• Highly effective verbal and written English communication skills.

• Fluent in English (speaking and writing)

• Strong ownership and ability to deal with ambiguity
