Senior Java Developer

Job Description

As a Senior Java Developer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture and development of cutting-edge Java applications within our dynamic and collaborative team. You will be responsible for providing leadership and expertise in software design and development while ensuring projects are delivered on time and with the highest quality. Your extensive experience with object-oriented design and thorough knowledge of the Java programming language will empower you to tackle complex challenges and contribute innovative solutions to our projects. Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems.
• Deliver well-designed, testable, and efficient code using best software practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine project requirements.
• Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging activities.
• Ensure design follows specifications and architectural framework requirements.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle and provide post-launch support.
• Enhance existing systems by analyzing performance and implementing optimizations.
• Participate in peer code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge.
• Guide and mentor junior developers to foster skill and knowledge growth.
• Continuously research new technologies and assess their potential applications.
• Develop and maintain API documentation and other relevant documentation.
• Collaborate with DevOps for deployment and continuous integration activities.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field is required.
• Proven experience as a Java Developer, with 5+ years in software development.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular framework.
• In-depth knowledge of Java ecosystems, tools, and build systems like Maven/Gradle.
• Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle) and developing SQL queries.
