As a Junior Digital Developer at Swyftx, your purpose is to support the development, maintenance, and optimisation of our digital assets. Working closely under the guidance of the Senior Digital Developer, you will assist in delivering front-end enhancements, maintaining content accuracy, improving site performance, and supporting marketing initiatives across our digital platforms.

Your role is essential in ensuring our national and international websites reflect the Swyftx brand to the highest standards of quality, usability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Build and maintain responsive, mobile-first web pages based on supplied designs across key Swyftx marketing assets.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to update website content, layout, and functionality as needed.
• Troubleshoot front-end issues and assist with bug fixes, under guidance from the Senior Digital Developer.
• Implement conversion tracking, analytics, and campaign tagging.
• Support site optimisation efforts, including load speed, accessibility, and technical SEO improvements.
• Maintain clear documentation of web assets and development processes.
• Assist in developing and maintaining interactive content and marketing tools.
• Stay current with digital trends and technologies, contributing to team knowledge sharing.
• Perform additional tasks to support the delivery of web and digital marketing initiatives as required.
  
  

To be successful you will have

• PHP experience including frameworks such as Symfony, Laravel, CakePHP
• Laravel experience highly advantageous
• Knowledge of headless CMS architecture; practical experience preferred
• Foundational experience or qualifications in Web Development, Digital Media, or Computer Science.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
• Exposure to web development tools like Chrome DevTools, Lighthouse, or PageSpeed Insights.
• Familiarity with WordPress or other content management systems (CMS).
• An eagerness to learn best practices in accessibility, UX, performance, and code quality.
• Interest in digital marketing fundamentals and analytics implementation.
• Familiarity with tools such as Google Tag Manager or Google Analytics is a plus.
• A collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Interest in fintech, cryptocurrency, or emerging tech is highly advantageous.
