Back End Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, event-driven services using Kalix or Akka.
• Write clean, testable, and efficient code in Scala and Java.
• Work with architects and product owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with AI/engineering teams to explore and prototype AI-based tools for legacy code conversion (e.g., SQL automation, Angular migration).
• Participate in code reviews, CI/CD processes, and cloud deployments.
• Document technical solutions and provide knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5–7+ years of experience in backend development with Java/Scala.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kalix, Akka, or Akka Serverless.
• Solid understanding of event-driven architecture, CQRS, and microservices.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted code generation or modernization tools (e.g., Copilot, OpenAI, etc.).
• Experience working with SQL databases and legacy SQL-based tools.
• Exposure to Angular applications, especially around legacy code understanding.
• Knowledge of cloud-native development, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Kalix platform on Lightbend.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Prior work in application modernization or digital transformation initiatives.
