Software Engineer

The hiring company, a major actor in the Transparency and Traceability industry based in Lausanne, Switzerland, is seeking an experienced and autonomous Lead Fullstack Developer with strong expertise in Django (or other Python backend frameworks) to lead and support their development team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the architecture of their innovative solutions while guiding a junior team toward success. The company´s goal is to accompany SMEs and larger groups towards : - Traceability: with its SaaS platform and different digital solutions to come. - Transparency: with its Digital Transparency Platform - co-related to the SaaS -

Who you are

• 4+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and the Django framework.
• Deep understanding of RESTful API design and best practices.
• Experience with microservices architecture and related tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, gRPC).
• Proven track record of working on SaaS products, ideally at scale.
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and caching solutions (e.g., Redis).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Perfectly fluent English (C1+)

Your tasks

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and services using Django.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs to support web and mobile applications.
• Architect and implement scalable microservices to support growing platform needs.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and QA to deliver high-quality features.
• Ensure performance, security, and scalability of backend infrastructure.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues, and provide timely fixes.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions.

This opportunity is fully remote within Europe (Not UK)

Salary

The budget for this opportunity is up to CHF 60k / year.
