Why This Role Is Right for You

As a Software Engineer, you’ll join a collaborative and forward-thinking team based in Milan. Together, we work on managing projects and application maintenance for Merchants Services area.

About Your Future Role

In this position, you will:

design and develop solution on Java Enterprise platforms
support the application maintenance: incident and problem management, bug analysis, bug fixing, testing
support on producing technical analysis from functional analysis to develop/evolve applications managed in the Merchant Services area
support the entire software development life cycle (design, implementation, testing, go-live support, hypercare)

Essential Qualifications

degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent economic or technical-scientific degree
at least three years with similar experience on business-critical systems
good knowledge of Java (J2SE and J2EE) or Kotlin and main development paradigms (object-oriented programming, client-server)
good knowledge of Microservices Architectures (e.g. Spring boot), WebServices, REST, Spring Framework, relational databases (e.g., Oracle), XML, JSON, SQL
knowledge of JAVA project management automation techniques via Maven and continuous integration systems (e.g., Jenkins)
Experienced on Application Server Tomcat, SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Database, ETL PowerCenter, Windows/Linux scripting, Java
Good knowledge of the English language (written and spoken)

Bonus Skills

Good knowledge of tools such as GIT, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Teams
Knowledge of payments Market
Strong predisposition to work and collaborate in team and to manage conflicts
Good ability to plan and organize own activities
Strong attitude to achieve complex objectives even if under pressure
