Frontend Developer

We’re looking for a Frontend Developer to join a successful European Fintech as they build a new tech hub in Lisbon. You’ll help develop scalable, secure, and high-performance applications in our Azure environment - contributing to frontend applications.

You’ll be part of a solution-focused team working with modern technologies including TypeScript, React, Next.JS, Express, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub and Terraform.

This is a great opportunity for an early to mid-level developer to build real-world experience and grow in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.

Your Role

• Developing new features and maintaining our existing Next.JS and React applications
• Developing responsive components that serve our users across mobile and desktop
• Developing re-usable component libraries and design systems
• Writing automated unit and regression tests
• Assisting and mentoring junior team members
• Actively participating in code reviews
• Participate in solution and technical design sessions
• Assist with writing user stories and specifications

Requirements

• 2+ years in a Frontend Developer position
• Building secure and performant applications using Typescript, React and Next.JS
• Professional English language
• Detailed knowledge of responsive design practices
• Building re-usable frontend component libraries (Storybook etc.)
• Experience and understanding of building cloud native applications
• Able to participate in technical design and planning discussions
• DevOps exposure (Agile, GitOps, CI/CD)

Bonus

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK, Pulumi)
• Docker & Kubernetes
• UI/UX design experience
• Backend programming exposure in languages like Java, Kotlin, Python etc.
• Experience designing, documenting and implementing both internal and public APIs
