OUR WORK MODEL
Hybrid or Remote: If you're based within a reasonable commuting distance of our office, we expect you to work from the office 2–3 days per week, with flexibility to work remotely on other days. If you're located outside of commuting distance, this role can be performed remotely.
YOUR ROLE
As a Data Manager , you’ll drive governance, quality, and consistency across our data ecosystem. You’ll play a pivotal role in coordinating and aligning cross-functional teams — including Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and Product Managers — around shared goals, clear data standards and scalable practices. Your work will ensure that data is not only accurate and accessible but also delivers actionable insights that power business decisions and growth at Cognism.

YOUR CHALLENGES & OPPORTUNITIES
- Define and Enforce Data Standards – Create and maintain data dictionaries, mapping documentation, and process flows to ensure consistent data management across the business.
- Lead Cross-Functional Data Initiatives – Coordinate initiatives between data researchers, data analysts, and data scientists, translating business requirements into effective data projects, managing risks and timelines.
- Drive Governance and Quality – Monitor data health, ensure timely updates, and mitigate risks by proactively identifying gaps and dependencies.
- Partner with Product – Collaborate with Product Managers to translate goals into scalable, data-driven project plans and requirements.
- Enhance Operational Efficiency – Continuously refine data workflows, service level agreements, and project tracking to support business agility and scalability.
- Document and Educate – Own the definition, documentation, and communication of data management processes, ensuring cross-team understanding and adoption.
- Experience – 5+ years in data management or analysis, with 2+ years in project management focused on data-led initiatives.
- Project Management – Proficient in tools like Jira or Asana and experienced in coordinating cross-functional data teams.
- Tool Familiarity – Confident using platforms such as Confluence and Excel to document processes and support data transparency.
- Business Translation – Capable of interpreting complex data science outputs and commissioning analytical work to guide strategic decisions.
- Communication Skills – Able to clearly present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence across all levels.
- Data Literacy – Understands company-related data, company hierarchies, ownership structures, financial records, departments, industries and how this data is used by Sales/RevOps for segmentation and lead tracking.
- Team Leadership – Skilled at managing and delegating work across diverse roles including researchers, analysts, and data scientists.
- Proactive Mindset – Self-motivated, collaborative, and committed to continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
- Tools & Platforms – Jira, Asana, Confluence, Figma, Excel
- Processes – Data governance, documentation, mapping, and standards creation
