This role is an Australia-based, fully work-from-home position, with access to co-working spaces in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer to contribute to our innovative and technically focused cannabis ecosystem. We facilitate efficient patient access to life-changing medication, setting new standards in cannabis care.

What You Will Get To Do

• Play a pivotal role in implementing software components, replatforming work, and global expansion.
• Balanced exposure: engaging with both legacy systems and fresh Greenfield projects
• Thrive on solving complex technical challenges across multiple fields, and troubleshooting software defects
• Work closely with delivery managers, designers, and fellow engineers to bring projects to fruition.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for code, architecture, and project-related information.
• Influence the process, tools, and systems - your justified suggestions drive implementation
• Actively seek opportunities for professional growth and learning new skills to enhance software development prowess
  
  

Qualifications

You will be a self-starter who understands how to create scalable and maintainable code, demonstrate a growth mindset, and be comfortable working in a remote-first environment. You will also have:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack development, preferably in SaaS
• Proficiency in TypeScript, NodeJS, GraphQL, and React is essential
• Pragmatism in choosing solutions and flexibility in adjusting along the way
• Resourcefulness in finding minimal but viable solutions to new requirements
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical colleagues alike
• Professional experience with Node.js, cloud ecosystems such as AWS; CloudFront, SES, SQS, S3, Lambda etc
• Experience in SQL databases
• Keen interest and understanding of the medicinal cannabis industry is a strong plus
