Mission context

Logistics Solution Architect

Role Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Solution Architect with a focus on Logistics platform build to guide the design and implementation of our client's in house internal and customer facing logistics solutions. This role will ensure architectural consistency, solution quality, and best practices. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between technical and business teams, striking the balance between delivering new features and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Architectural Leadership :

o Design scalable, secure, and efficient locker management solutions aligned with business goals.

o Develop and enforce architectural standards and guidelines (including 3rd party suppliers and implementation partners)

• Locker Platform Development & Guidance :

o Assist and guide development teams in improving and redesigning the platform to keep up with growth ambitions and new product offerings.

o Create and review technical designs for coherence, scalability, and resilience, taking into account the integration of the platform within the client's landscape.

• Collaboration :

o Work closely with product owners, developers, and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical architectures.

o Partner with DevOps teams to establish CI/CD pipelines and ensure seamless deployment.

o Establish a migration approach of legacy systems and act upon it.

Qualifications

• Experience :

o 10+ years in software architecture/design of which minimus 5 years building and maintaining logistics applications

o Experience with IoT-development and operations

o Proven experience with AWS (Lambda, Aurora, S3, RDS, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch)

• Technical Skills :

o Experience with API-driven architectures (RESTful APIs, API gateways).

o Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS/EKS).

o Proficiency in optimization algorithms (volume forecasting, storage optimization, proactive maintenance etc).

o Understanding of Event-Driven Architecture based on Kafka is a plus.

• Soft Skills :

o Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.

o Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

o Proven leadership skills, including guiding and mentoring development teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Node.js for building scalable backend services.

• Familiarity with tools like Terraform for infrastructure automation.

• Understanding of DevSecOps practices and secure software development lifecycles.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket, ensuring robust and seamless deployment processes.

• Prior experience in logistics or similar domains is a plus.
