About The Role

Our team in Örebro is growing and we are currently searching for two Design Engineers to join us!

In this role, you will be responsible for providing engineering and technical support to our internal sales organization and customers as well as owning and driving development and design of the Johnson Pump Marine product line. This includes creating product designs and modifications based on customer requirements, providing engineering services to support sales orders, quotations, and design. You will be reporting to our Engineering Manager.

About Your Responsibilities At SPX FLOW

• Development, design, project management of the product line JP Marine, including engineering ownership of the marine product portfolio (main focus on seawater engine cooling pumps).
• Manage project deliveries from concept to SOP, meet budget in collaboration with Engineering Manager.
• Engage and work closely with other stakeholders such as sales, operations, product management and customer support and provide technical support needed to our manufacturers and/or end customers.
• Participate in prototyping (as project manager), e.g., contacts with foundry for pre-production prototypes, other suppliers needed in the prototyping stage.
• Contribute to the preparation of technical/commercial requirements specification for new product development (NPD-projects).
• Register new article numbers in SAP and ensure data accuracy.
• Prepare technical reports and technical manuals and required decision documents, such as drawings, calculations, and component analyses.
• Follow up on the products during manufacturing, test assembly, performance test, endurance test and field test to verify the requirement specification and take corrective action as necessary.

What Do You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in a design engineering role.
• Experience with 3D CAD software (Inventor preferred).
• Project management experience.
• Fluent Swedish and English in speaking and writing.
• Good knowledge of MS Office.

Nice to Have

• Experience with an ERP system (SAP preferred).
• Experience in working within a global environment.
• Experience in a customer-facing role.
