Urgent requirement of Senior UX/UI Designer - Perm/Contract - Melbourne

Requirements

Skills and Experience :

Mobile App Experience

  • Hands on experience designing for Native and Hybrid Apps
  • Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX work for both apps and web platforms

UX/UI Design

  • Expertise in leading the end-to-end design process for mobile products, from initial concept and user research to final implementation
  • Proficient in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch, or similar)
  • In-depth understanding of mobile app UI design principles and best practices
  • Strong knowledge of UX and Human-Centered Design methodologies, with a focus on optimising customer experience
  • Solid understanding of accessibility standards and best practice
  • Experience collaborating with Engineers to ensure high-quality implementation of design
  • Familiarity with mobile analytics and A/B testing methodologies
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Experience with Lean/Agile delivery methodologies and frameworks
  • Experience conducting user research and translating insights into design solutions
  • Excellence in visual design with strong typography, composition, and interaction design skills
  • Experience working with design systems and component libraries
  • Proven experience in leading design sprints and facilitating design workshops

Communication

  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Skilled in wireframing, prototyping and interaction design, with a focus on clear visual communication
  • Ability to quickly translate ideas into sketches, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with Product Managers to define product strategy and roadmap based on user needs and business objectives
  • Excellent ability to clarify requirements and build strong partnerships with stakeholders
  • Proven track record of effective collaboration, showing consideration, respect, and encouragement for the ideas and contributions of team members
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance user needs with technical constraints,

Qualification :

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, or related field with an emphasis on user experience, interaction design, or visual design.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a UI / UX Designer with at least 3 years focused on mobile applications.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related technology area, such as Information Systems or Computer Science, are highly desirable

Retail Sector Experience Is Preferred

Duration: Permanent / 06 Months and possible extension
