Information Security Senior Manager (Expert Cyber Threat Intelligence Consultant)
Location: Dublin 1, Ireland (Hybrid – min. 50% on-site)
Contract Duration: 24 months (with 2 optional 6-month extensions)
Start Date: June 2025
We are seeking an expert-level Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) Consultant to join the Cyber Resilience team within a high-profile public sector organisation. This is a senior-level consulting engagement focused on leading and maturing a cutting-edge Cyber Threat Intelligence Operations Centre (CTIOC), driving forward the organisation’s cyber resilience strategy through advanced threat hunting, horizon scanning, and innovation in CTI practices.
This role is ideal for a seasoned CTI leader with a deep understanding of emerging technologies and a track record in building and scaling complex threat intelligence environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and enhancement of the organisation’s Cyber Threat Intelligence Operations Centre (CTIOC)
- Deliver advanced threat hunting, trending, and horizon scanning capabilities
- Apply machine learning, LLMs, and other emerging technologies to CTI workflows
- Produce strategic and technical threat intelligence outputs with real business impact
- Represent the organisation in external threat-sharing forums and communities
- Mentor and upskill internal staff to raise in-house CTI capability
- Design and implement bespoke threat collection, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms
- Lead the design of future-oriented CTI processes, tools, and products
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in cyber threat intelligence operations and development
- Demonstrated success in standing up and scaling threat intelligence capabilities and SOC environments
- Expertise with CTI frameworks and methodologies including MITRE ATT&CK, Extended Kill Chain, TIBER/CBEST
- Proficient in:
- Threat intel platforms (e.g., MISP, STIX/TAXII)
- Threat hunting and detection scripting
- YARA rule development
- Experience in highly regulated or financial sector environments
- Track record of thought leadership in CTI, including presenting to large or technical audiences
Qualifications
- Honours degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related discipline
- Professional certifications such as GCTI, CEH, OSCP/OSCE, or SANS equivalents
