Our Integrations team is responsible for ensuring that different services - both internal and external - work together seamlessly. In this role you will be responsible for the design, implementation and day to day operations of this integration layer. You will be empowered to improve our technical stack and development processes. Sitting in our Data team, you will manage a team of developers working on integrations across the business using Java, Kafka and Kubernetes technologies (among others). Some example areas include Marketing, affiliates systems, cross-system data streaming, and real-time analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team dedicated to developing and maintaining critical internal tools that support the company's core operations.
  • Manage and optimize release management processes, ensuring all service dependencies are accounted for and releases are well-coordinated.
  • Proactively identify, own, and resolve blockers and operational issues, ensuring the continuous improvement of systems and processes.
  • Drive task prioritization and backlog grooming to align engineering efforts with business priorities.
  • Own the onboarding process for new team members and maintain comprehensive technical and procedural documentation.
  • Plan and allocate team resources effectively, acting as a Scrum Master to support agile delivery practices.
  • Continuously optimize delivery workflows and simplify release procedures while ensuring compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team

Requirements

  • Commercial professional experience in a team lead role, managing an engineering team
  • Strong background in release management, dependency tracking, and operational risk mitigation
  • Demonstrated ability to manage blockers and drive problem ownership through resolution
  • Hands-on experience in incident management, troubleshooting, and monitoring of production systems
  • Experience in backlog management, sprint planning, and stakeholder communication (e.g., using Jira or similar tools)
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies and resource planning in a Scrum environment
  • Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and a focus on process optimization
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a high degree of ownership and accountability
  • Business level proficiency in English or above (equivalent to B2 or above in CEFR)

      Must-have:

  • 5+ years of experience as Java developer
  • 1+ years of experience in managing a team of developers
  • Knowledge of Java for Web Application development
  • Understanding of streaming technologies (Kafka, Debezium, Redpanda)
  • Proficiency with software development best practices
  • Familiarity with hosting technologies and approaches (K8s, Flux, AWS, etc) 

    Nice to have:
  • Experience in the fintech industry
  • Prior work with high-load systems
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. K8s, AWSs)
