We are looking for a skilled Security Data Engineer with expertise in Splunk, VectorETL, and cloud infrastructure. This role focuses on secure data ingestion, transformation, and analytics in a fast-paced, agile environment. You’ll work closely with architects and engineering teams to support threat detection and data migration efforts.
Responsibilities
- Onboard and parse data streams using VectorETL
- Manage ingestion into Splunk Enterprise and support SIEM infrastructure
- Migrate and manage data streams (e.g., SpinCo/Versant)
- Collaborate with architects on data parsing and transformation
- Work in 2-week agile sprints and contribute to documentation and dashboards
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience with VectorETL and data pipelines
- 5+ years in Cybersecurity and Splunk engineering
- Proficiency in Python, Git, Unix/Linux, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, and serverless services
- Strong understanding of SIEM principles and secure system design
- Bonus: Ability to energize and engage a reserved team
- No C2C, C2H or similar candidates will be considered
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance
