Hedge Fund Analyst | SEB, Stockholm

We are looking for an Analyst to join the Financial Institutions Analysis (FIA) team within SEB Credit Analysis. This is a specialist position with primary focus towards clients in the dynamic international hedge fund industry. In addition to hedge funds, the team covers other types of financial institutions such as closed-end investment funds, broker dealers and family offices. The role includes working together with client teams from different parts of the CIB division, advising and assessing various types of credit transactions.

About The Role

As an analyst in FIA, you will be part of a high-performing cross-border team of six sector specialists. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include preparing and presenting in-depth analyses and credit recommendations on SEB’s hedge fund, asset manager and broker-dealer relationships to the various decision-making authorities in the bank. Daily communication with clients, client coverage teams at SEB and the credit department are also an integral part of the daily workflow. This role will provide you with excellent opportunities for personal and professional development and growth. The position is located in Stockholm, but as you maintain regular contact with both domestic and international clients, the role includes the requirement to travel.

To Thrive In This Role, We Believe You Have

• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in working with investment funds and/or financial sponsors
• A master’s degree or equivalent in engineering, economics, business, or mathematics
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively both in speech and writing. Proficiency in English is a prerequisite
• Experience in understanding and evaluating a multitude of financial risks borne by investment funds such as market, credit and liquidity risks, as well as a good grasp of various financial instruments
• High personal integrity and ability to work both independently as well as in a team setting
• The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
