This opening for a Fullstack Engineer (AI/ML) will give you the chance to take a lead in crafting cutting-edge solutions over various Genetec Products and domains. You will ...

• design and implement (and often rapdily prototype) new intelligent solutions for data investigation and visualisation using NLP, ML and AI
• be collaborating with data scientists to put their models into production
• develop and implement solutions using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and manage vector databases
• help to improve and maintain our MLOps systems
• develop and advocate for best practices, engineering standards and improved operational processes, and write tests for both your own and shared code
• apply AI best practices to ensure fairness, transparency, and accountability in AI models and applications
• have R&D time, which will give you the opportunity to develop PoC solutions to integrate with the rest of the business
• have dedicated investment time at Genetec to learn new skills, technologies, research topics or work on tools that make this possible

The team

Genetec Intelligent Automation is a diverse group, located across several countries, that works on creating collaborative tools for data-driven decision-making in the cloud. Our goal is to allow our customers to harness insights from their security data to prioritize interventions, automate responses, and streamline operations. As a engineer you would be expected to bring your passion for technology, development, and code quality to a team that shares the sentiment, and you would play a key role in our products' evolution. You will be introduced into a highly collaborative environment where sharing knowledge and ideas is an ongoing endeavour.

We expect you to have …

• experience with at least one backend stack, either Python, Go, or .NET
• understanding of databases (both SQL and no-SQL) and data engineering in general
• an ability to learn new technologies and paradigms rapidly
• prior knowledge and experience of data science/statistics/machine learning
• knowledge of CI/CD processes and pipelines
• excellent spoken and written English

And it would be just great if you could have…

• had exposure to traditional AI/ML, i.e. data science/statistics/machine learning
• an understanding of NLP, prompt-engineering, Generative AI, and RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation)
• experience of front-end development in React (and ideally TypeScript) as part of production-grade solutions
• proven exposure to Vector DBs specifically
• experience specifically with Microsoft Azure Cloud
