DevOps Engineer

About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Mobile DevOps Engineer with strong DevOps expertise and solid Android development experience (Kotlin essential). This role is crucial to maintaining and enhancing our mobile CI/CD pipeline and supporting a high-performing mobile engineering team within a fast-paced digital transformation initiative.

You’ll join a team that’s driving innovation in mobile engineering, focusing on process improvement, platform excellence, and automation. We build custom tooling, deliver on rapid product cycles, and ensure top-tier mobile experiences backed by robust infrastructure and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, and extend in-house Mobile CI pipelines (Jenkins, Vagrant).
• Build custom automation and tooling using Python.
• Troubleshoot CI pipeline failures and production issues, especially in the Americas timezone.
• Define and manage dashboards and monitoring tools for production systems.
• Engage in incident management and provide support to development teams.
• Expand CI/CD capabilities and manage in-house Jenkins-based services.
• Automate mobile app releases and create tools to support developer productivity.
• Contribute to the Mobile Engineering Discipline and DevOps best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong Android development background with Kotlin (must-have).
• Deep knowledge of the Android SDK, Android NDK, Java, Gradle, and Android ecosystem.
• Experience with background services, permissions model, mapping, and multi-threading.
• Familiarity with native code integration (C/C++) and third-party libraries.
• Solid experience in Mobile DevOps: CI/CD, automation, deployment tools.
• Hands-on with Python, Bash, and Java for scripting and tooling.
• Experience with monitoring tools: Splunk, AppDynamics, Prometheus.
• Understanding of AWS DevOps services, JVM internals, API security, and performance testing.
• Strong troubleshooting and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience managing or scaling Jenkins-based CI/CD for mobile.
• Exposure to agile, modern delivery practices and incident response workflows.

Work Environment
