The Role:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, secure, and high-performance systems. You’ll collaborate closely with product and design teams to build modern digital solutions that enhance user experience, drive customer engagement, and support business expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend and/or frontend systems using modern frameworks and tools.
• Lead architectural decisions and ensure best practices across the development lifecycle.
• Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code in languages such as Java, Python, TypeScript, or Go.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build seamless product features with strong focus on security, performance, and usability.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services to support product functionality.
• Drive continuous improvement through code reviews, testing, and process optimisation.
• Stay updated on the latest technology trends and innovations.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Currently based in the UAE.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience, ideally within tech startups, SaaS, or digital product companies.
• Deep understanding of backend and/or frontend architecture, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Proficiency in frameworks such as React, Node.js, Django, or Spring Boot.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, microservices, and containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a passion for building innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in agile teams.
• Self-starter mentality with the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
