AWS Cloud Engineer

About the Role

A leading Norwegian digital transformation consultancy is looking for a Cloud Engineering Consultant (AWS) to join its expanding team in Oslo or Drammen. You will help organizations across sectors accelerate their cloud adoption, modernize infrastructure, and build secure, scalable solutions on AWS.

As a trusted advisor to clients, you'll design and implement cloud architectures, automate deployments, and guide DevOps and platform engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement AWS-based solutions for enterprise and public sector clients
• Lead cloud migration and modernization projects, from planning to execution
• Automate infrastructure with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools
• Establish and optimize CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
• Ensure compliance with security and governance standards (e.g., IAM, KMS, audit logging)
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, and product owners
• Contribute to internal cloud community of practice, knowledge sharing, and technical mentoring

Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in AWS cloud engineering or architecture
• Proficient with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation)
• Solid understanding of networking, security, monitoring, and cost optimization in cloud environments
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab, CodePipeline)
• Familiar with containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes)
• AWS Certification (e.g., Solutions Architect Associate/Professional) is a strong plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to advise both technical and non-technical stakeholders
