Job Position Title: Machine Learning Engineer – Backend & DevOps (Intermediate)

Job Summary

We’re looking for a Machine Learning Engineer (Backend & DevOps) to support our team in Singapore. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on the next-generation AI personalization platform for a global fintech leader. You'll play a key role in shaping the search and recommendation systems that reach hundreds of millions of consumers. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Consumer Machine Learning team to enhance the AI recommendation platform.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and data pipelines that support personalization features.
• Build, deploy, and monitor AI models using modern cloud stacks (e.g., GCP Vertex AI, AutoML, BQML, etc.).
• Optimize containerized services using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Apply DevOps best practices using tools such as Git, Jenkins, etc.
• Support cross-functional teams in integrating ML systems into production.
• Ensure high scalability, availability, and performance of deployed ML services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in backend development using Java and Spring.
• Solid hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, Azure, Huawei, or Alibaba Cloud.
• Practical knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with DevOps workflows, CI/CD tools like Git and Jenkins.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
