What The Role Is

You lead a team of software engineers/ senior engineers in developing, building and scaling digital solutions for the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).

What You Will Be Working On

  • Provide technical leadership on projects across the organisation, whether in ideation, technical design, implementation, or testing
  • Produce impactful software solutions that follow good architecture and design principles, after considering the trade-offs of different options
  • Lead software engineers and designers in the product team in all stages of software development, including design, coding, debugging and testing
  • Collaborate with users across the different services of SAF to understand their needs and challenges, develop software solutions that address them


Challenge(s)

  • Understanding existing and upcoming software development environments
  • Navigating SAF/MINDEF's technical ecosystem
  • Ensuring adherence to security requirements
  • Managing stakeholder expectations across services


What We Are Looking For

  • Education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Data Analytics or Artificial Intelligence
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with at least of 6 years of software development experience
  • Keen interest in digital technology
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
