What The Role Is

You lead a team of software engineers/ senior engineers in developing, building and scaling digital solutions for the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).

What You Will Be Working On

Provide technical leadership on projects across the organisation, whether in ideation, technical design, implementation, or testing
Produce impactful software solutions that follow good architecture and design principles, after considering the trade-offs of different options
Lead software engineers and designers in the product team in all stages of software development, including design, coding, debugging and testing
Collaborate with users across the different services of SAF to understand their needs and challenges, develop software solutions that address them

Challenge(s)

Understanding existing and upcoming software development environments
Navigating SAF/MINDEF's technical ecosystem
Ensuring adherence to security requirements
Managing stakeholder expectations across services

What We Are Looking For

Education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Data Analytics or Artificial Intelligence
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with at least of 6 years of software development experience
Keen interest in digital technology
Strong interpersonal communication skills
