DevOps Engineer (w/m)

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our "Gigabit" team. The “Gigabit” project is a core strategic project of the Deutsche Telekom AG. The software implements all end-to-end business processes regarding the fiber network extension in Germany, ranging from ordering processes to supplier coordination and management to network access provisioning. The cross-functional team works closely with the development teams on their journey to DevOps. In our team, we aim for automation and slick solutions to provide a modern and stable runtime stack. In our culture we strive to create a start-up atmosphere in the enterprise.

We are working within a lean and automated approach using modern technologies and methods like GitOps, Infrastructure-as-a-Code on AWS, CI/CD and, of course, Agile. Our Digital HUB is 100% cloud native. Project scale is 200+ developers distributed in Slovakia, Germany, Greece, Spain, India, Hungary, and Poland. The project language is English.

🔎We are looking for a candidate with DevOps mindset and familiar with or interested in learning one or more of these technologies:

• AWS Platform engineering (EC2, EKS, Lambda, Route53, RDS, ..)
• Containerization, K8s, EKS
• Automation
• Infrastructure-as-Code (Pulumi)
• CI/CD (Gitlab, ArgoCD)
• Microservice Architecture (APIs)
• GitOps
• Scripting (Python, golang, bash, sql, ...)
• Monitoring (ELK, Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana, ...)
• Linux, VMs
• PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis

📒What tasks we have:

· Work in one of our expert groups (Flocks), e.g. API, AWS Platform engineering

· Ensuring application quality (Prod QA)

· Technical E2E Incident analysis/troubleshooting

· Root cause analysis (system + infrastructure errors)

· Sustainable Operation (SRE experience)

· Application maintenance & support incl. on-call

· Disaster recovery and high availability

· Close collaboration with development teams (Continuous Improvement)
