Network Administrator

Robert Half is searching for a Network Administrator who can support a commercial manufacturing company based in Renton, WA.

Job Details:

Schedule: Monday – Friday (Core Business Hours)

Location: Renton, WA - Onsite to start, Hybrid after ramp up

Duration: 6 month contract

Job Responsibilities:

• Administer and support network systems, including routers, switches, and wireless access points, ensuring stable connectivity and performance across the organization.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot VPN tunnels to ensure secure communication between internal networks and external endpoints, including remote offices, partners, and vendors.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders to coordinate VPN connection requirements, resolve connectivity issues, and ensure compliance with security protocols.
• Monitor and maintain network firewalls, responding to alerts, identifying potential threats, and making real-time adjustments to firewall rules or settings.
• Conduct routine network assessments and performance tuning, ensuring optimal uptime and reliability for business-critical operations.
• Document network configurations, topology changes, incident resolutions, and communication logs with stakeholders.
• Assist with onboarding new sites or partners into the network, including IP planning, VPN configuration, and firewall rule creation.
• Participate in troubleshooting efforts related to LAN/WAN, routing, and internet connectivity issues with a methodical and customer-oriented approach.
• Provide timely communication and updates to internal teams and third-party vendors regarding outages, upgrades, or maintenance activities.
• Ensure all network infrastructure complies with organizational security standards and industry best practices.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of experience as a Network Administrator/Analyst.
• Basic networking experience, administering VPN connections and familiarity of network routers.
• Knowledgeable in connecting VPN tunnels to endpoints.
• Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting network firewalls.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively with external stakeholders.

The salary range for this position is $40 to $50. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
