Information Management Coordinator

Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a leading protection agency with a mandate to protect, advocate and promote durable solutions for displacement affected populations.
DRC has been operating in Ukraine since 2014, currently DRC employs over 800 staff in Ukraine and implements emergency response in the Protection, Livelihoods, Shelter/NFIs and Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (humanitarian mine action) sectors, using direct interventions, support to duty bearers and civil society organizations (CSOs), and partnerships with CSOs. DRC will continue and adapt its durable solutions portfolio to the evolving context.
DRC is currently looking for a highly qualified Information Management Coordinator to join our team in Kyiv.
About The Job
As the Information Management (IM) Coordinator, you will work closely with the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) and Information Management Unit, as well as key program sectors such as Shelter, Economic Recovery, Protection, and Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding.
Your Main Responsibilities Will Be
Phase 1: Assessment (Months 1–2)
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have at least 5 years of experience in Information Management within the humanitarian or mine action sectors. Moreover, we also expect the following:

About The Job
As the Information Management (IM) Coordinator, you will work closely with the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) and Information Management Unit, as well as key program sectors such as Shelter, Economic Recovery, Protection, and Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding.
Your Main Responsibilities Will Be
Phase 1: Assessment (Months 1–2)
- Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current IM system, including workflows, data structures, tools, and human resource capacities.
- Identify gaps, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement, especially regarding data quality, reporting timeliness, and coordination with operational teams.
- Engage with relevant stakeholders (operations, M&E, HQ) to understand IM needs and expectations.
- Deliver a detailed assessment report with practical, prioritised recommendations for IM system redesign.
- Design and lead a tailored capacity-building plan, including hands-on training, mentoring, and systems development.
- Provide focused coaching to the national IM Manager to enhance technical skills, leadership, and autonomy.
- Support the implementation of improved IM tools, templates, dashboards, and SOPs.
- Ensure all tools are built with a long-term, sustainable approach in mind, tailored to field realities.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure that new systems and tools are fully understood and institutionalised.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have at least 5 years of experience in Information Management within the humanitarian or mine action sectors. Moreover, we also expect the following:

- Experience with Information Management System for Mine Action (IMSMA)
- Demonstrated experience working with survey design and data management platforms, specifically Survey123 (mandatory)
- Prior experience supporting IM system development or reform in mine action programs is essential
- Master's degree in political science, international development, economics or other relevant field
- Full professional proficiency in English
- Experience working in Ukraine or similar operating environments is highly desirable
- Strong facilitation, training, and coaching skills with the ability to build local capacity
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively under tight deadlines
- Fluency in Ukrainian preferred but not essential

- Contract length: 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on funding availability and satisfactory performance
