Senior Backend Developer, DomaCare

We are looking for an experienced Java backend developer.

DomaCare is one of the fastest growing and developing software solutions in the social and care sector, used daily by thousands of care professionals across Finland.

What do we expect from you?

The person we are looking for has strong experience in developing larger Java applications (SaaS) and is capable of finding solutions to complex technical requirements and issues. The ability to manage and process large amounts of information and application data effectively is a key element of your development skillset.

As part of our team you will build software solutions that meet real customer needs. We expect that you can take responsibility for the product development outcomes. You are self-motivated and have a cooperative mindset with excellent communication skills. Working as part of an international development team, English language skills are a must, and Finnish skills are a bonus.

We develop our product following agile principles, working closely together as a collaborative team where the tasks are diverse and challenging. In addition to product development, we have dedicated Product Management, QA, sales and customer support teams with whom we collaborate closely.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience in API and systems design
• Ability to write clear, efficient and testable Java code
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL/MariaDB
• A place of residence and a work permit in Finland
• In addition to active team work also ability to work independently
  
  

We appreciate candidates who have several years of experience in Java backend development. Additionally, experience in full-stack web application development is valued. Familiarity with continuous integration and automated testing processes is important. We also look for those who have created solutions utilizing existing AI technologies. Experience working with agile methodologies is a plus, as is a natural flair for mentoring junior developers.

Our offices are located in Helsinki and Oulu, but remote work is also possible. However, we hope you are able to travel occasionally for team, product development, or company meetings. The starting salary for the position is approximately 4000 - 6000 euros, depending on your experience and skills. We are also happy to hear your own salary expectations.
