ESG Project Manager

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and delivery of ESG projects, ensuring completion within quality, time, and budget constraints.
  • Oversee the collection, compilation, and validation of ESG data in accordance with ESRS standards, utilizing ESG data management platforms to ensure data accuracy, identify gaps, and support comprehensive ESG reporting.
  • Develop ESG strategies and goals aligned with the business's material topics, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create a roadmap for achieving these goals and maintaining communication with leadership and stakeholders.
  • Implement TCFD disclosures by identifying, assessing, and communicating relevant climate risks and opportunities, including the coordination of the climate scenario analysis.
  • Coordinate ESG reporting and disclosure assurance processes, collaborating closely with external auditors.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and compliance requirements related to ESG reporting, ensuring the company’s strategies and disclosures remain up to date and aligned with current standards (e.g., TCFD, GRI, SASB, CSRD).
  • Maintain familiarity with ISO standards and requirements relevant to ESG performance.
  • Support with presenting ESG strategy, recommendation and resolve to the executive leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability regulations, including CSRD, ESRS standards, and EU Taxonomy. Demonstrated experience in aligning business reporting to meet these requirements is preferred.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to set clear expectations, align sustainability objectives, address challenges, and report on progress.
  • Experienced in preparing strategic, data-driven responses to investor-focused ESG surveys and rating agencies such as CDP and EcoVadis.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in creating impactful PowerPoint presentations and possess strong analytical skills for handling large and complex data sets in Excel.
  • 3- 5 years of experience in ESG consulting, sustainability, or a related field, with a strong understanding of ESG frameworks and reporting standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, CSRD).
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with ESG data collection and analysis tools.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage and coordinate multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously.
  • Solid understanding and experience with ESG/sustainability, ESG reporting, ratings agencies, and GHG calculation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Strong writing and verbal presentation skills.
  • A passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive change in the business world.
