Role Overview
Job Title: Fullstack Engineer (Java + React)
Location: Remote (Candidates must reside in Turkey)
Contract: 6 months (highly likely to extend)
Cressoft is hiring Fullstack Engineers to support a long-term platform transformation for one of the UK’s leading retail and e-commerce companies. As part of this initiative, you’ll help modernize the core transactional flows—Checkout, Payments, Basket, and Post-Order—across a platform that serves over 70% of the UK population.
🔍 What You’ll Do
- Build and enhance customer-facing and backend features using Java 8+, React, and TypeScript
- Contribute to the re-architecture of high-traffic retail systems for scalability and performance
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across the UK and nearshore teams
- Implement best practices in testing (React Testing Library, Cypress), code quality, and CI/CD pipelines
- Work in an Agile environment delivering incremental value through reusable, testable components
- Engage in code reviews, feature planning, and performance optimization
✅ What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Fullstack Developer
- Strong experience with Java (Java 8+) and Spring Boot on the backend
- Solid proficiency in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and CSS on the frontend
- Experience with React Testing Library, Cypress, and API-level testing
- Understanding of microservices, event-driven systems, and CI/CD workflows
- Excellent written and spoken English skills for effective collaboration in a distributed team
- Comfortable working within Agile/Scrum methodologies
🛠 Nice to Have
- Experience with Kafka, Spring Cloud, or WebFlux
- Familiarity with TDD, Kubernetes (AWS), and cloud-native environments
- Exposure to BDD (Cucumber) or functional programming concepts
