Backup Administrator

At Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, we believe technology is the backbone of operational excellence. We're looking for a Backup Systems Administrator who’s passionate about safeguarding data, embraces innovation, and is ready to ensure the reliability and integrity of our systems.

You will be an essential part of our IT Systems department, playing a key role in protecting critical data and maintaining business continuity through cutting-edge backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and optimize backup systems for reliable and efficient data protection,
• Manage backup processes for Windows client and server environments,
• Monitor backup performance and integrity, ensuring minimal downtime,
• Maintain clear documentation and reporting for all backup activities,
• Troubleshoot and resolve backup-related issues swiftly,
• Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery processes,
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations,
• Stay current with emerging backup technologies and best practices,
• Contribute to the company's information security through secure backup strategies.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Engineering),
• 5+ years of professional experience in backup systems management,
• Understanding of operational and regulatory data security standards,
• Experience with backup environments, server-client architecture, and Linux systems,
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, Office365, AWS),
• Knowledge of ITIL and service management processes,
• Basic understanding of network and security infrastructures,
• Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and project management skills,
• Fluent in English (written and spoken),
• Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure and in flexible hours,
• Certifications such as Commvault Certified Professional / Engineer,
• Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc.),
• Familiarity with cloud-based backup solutions (Azure Backup, AWS Backup, etc.),
• Knowledge of data backup security controls and compliance.
