Network Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Network Security Specialist to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This role involves supporting critical network and security operations for enterprise environments, ensuring robust performance, availability, and security of IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 technical support for network and security operations
• Monitor and optimize network performance, identify and resolve bottlenecks
• Manage and secure network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and load balancers
• Administer and troubleshoot F5 (LTM, ASM), Cisco Nexus, and related technologies
• Implement and enforce network security policies and controls
• Respond to incidents and service requests with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Support infrastructure availability through proactive monitoring and health checks
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors for issue resolution and enhancements
• Ensure compliance with ITSM processes, security policies, and best practices

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in networking and security operations
• Strong expertise in:
• Routing & switching (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, QoS)
• Network security (IPSec, firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, VPNs)
• Load balancing and traffic optimization
• Cisco IOS, NX-OS, and F5 products
• Network automation and monitoring tools
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and best practices
• Good understanding of cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, Cloudflare) is a plus
• Comfortable working in high-pressure environments with mission-critical systems

Preferred Certifications

• CCNA / CCNP (Enterprise, Security, or Datacenter)
• PCNSA / PCNSE
• F5 LTM / ASM
• CISSP or equivalent cybersecurity certification
• CompTIA Security+ or Network+
• ITIL Foundation
