About the Role
We're seeking a UI Designer Intern with strong visual instincts, an appreciation for minimalist mobile UX, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers. You will work directly with the founder and development team to refine the visual identity and product interface across platforms.
Responsibilities
- Audit and redesign current UI layouts for clarity, emotional resonance, and consistency
- Create high-fidelity mockups in Figma (or similar) with mobile-first focus
- Work closely with engineers to communicate visual specs clearly and ensure accurate implementation
- Identify and improve weak visual hierarchies, spacing, and component alignment
- Maintain cohesive styling across Record, History, and Insight pages
Ideal Profile
- Portfolio showcasing mobile-first product UI work
- Familiarity with wellness, journaling, or productivity apps preferred
- Strong experience collaborating with engineers, including handoff and iteration cycles
- Able to express design rationale clearly and consider feasibility in implementation
- Highly detail-oriented, with a calm, emotionally attuned design sensibility
