Role Overview
As a Backend Developer, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining server-side applications, APIs, and infrastructure components. You’ll work closely with our frontend developers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality software.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient backend code
- Optimize application performance and scalability
- Integrate third-party APIs and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP)
- Participate in code reviews and agile development processes
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in backend development (Node.js / Python / Java)
- Strong knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and Git workflows
- Understanding of REST, authentication, and security best practices
- Fluent in English; based in Switzerland
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of GraphQL or event-driven architecture
- Interest in DevOps or full-stack development
- Experience working in a remote, agile team
