Software Engineer, 3D Data & Computer Vision
12 month contract with possibility for extension. Candidates can work remotely IN Switzerland only so applicants must have EU citizenship.
Are you a Software Engineer with a knack for bringing 3D visions to life? We're on the hunt for a talented individual to join our clients cutting edge, innovative team. If you're passionate about working with the latest camera systems, transforming raw data into stunning 3D models, and tackling complex data challenges, this could be your next big adventure!
In this role, you'll be at the heart of development, taking charge of their existing camera capture platform. You'll process captured data into rich 3D models, continually enhancing and building out data processing pipelines. They also need someone adept at managing and moving vast amounts of data across servers efficiently. Beyond the technical, you'll be a vital part of a collaborative team, shaping project direction and pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Operating and maintaining a sophisticated camera capture platform.
- Designing, developing, and optimizing data processing pipelines to convert raw input into detailed 3D models and more.
- Executing large-scale data transfers between servers, ensuring seamless and efficient movement of critical information.
- Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to define project requirements, scope, and technical direction.
We're Looking for Someone With:
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in C++ and Python development.
- Hands-on comfort and familiarity with camera hardware, networking, and synchronization devices.
- At least 1 year of experience working with 3D data processing pipelines and significant data transfer operations.
- Foundation in or practical experience with 3D computer vision.
- The ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues spanning multiple systems, demonstrating a proactive approach within a team setting.
- Practical experience with tools and environments like Docker, Conda, Linux, and general system administration.
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written), coupled with excellent problem-solving abilities, a customer-service mindset, and strong interpersonal skills.
- The discipline and self-management to work independently and efficiently manage your workload.
Education:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field is essential.
