What You Can Expect

• You design, develop, and implement machine learning models to tackle complex problems and enhance existing solutions.
• You analyze large and heterogenous datasets to extract meaningful insights and ensure data integrity for analysis.
• You primarily support Seeds & Traits Predictive Breeding activities while collaborating with multiple stakeholders across the Agricultural Solutions organization and Computational Biology.
• You leverage your broad understanding of computational biology to drive the development of strategic modeling capabilities that meet Agricultural Solutions business needs.
• You collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers and other members, to understand data requirements and integrate machine learning solutions into various products and services.
• You drive and implement machine learning and modeling best practices within the Computational Biology group.
• You perform data engineering and processing as part of machine learning projects.
  
  

What You Offer

• You have a Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
• You have 3+ years of experience in machine learning and deep learning, focusing on optimizing models through hyperparameter tuning.
• You have proven experience in deploying and managing models while adhering to MLOps principles.
• You possess expertise in developing, testing, and optimizing machine learning models to enhance performance and scalability.
• You have experience in conducting research to push the boundaries of machine learning, documenting all processes to ensure reproducibility, and stay updated with the latest technological advancements.
• You are familiar with data in computational biology, including nucleic acid or protein sequence data, genomic data, and related fields.
• You have proficiency in multiple coding languages, such as Python, R, and shell scripting, as well as relevant frameworks.
• You are an expert with machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Python libraries related to MLOps, like MLFlow and FastAPI.
• You have strong communication skills, enabling you to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of (computational) biology, genetics and plant breeding is a plus.
