Senior Security Consultant

My client is looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Consultant to support the assessment, development, and ongoing enhancement of their security posture. This role involves delivering actionable, risk-based guidance aligned with recognized frameworks to help organizations strengthen their cybersecurity resilience.

You'll play a key role in shaping security strategy, defining roadmaps, and implementing policies and controls that result in tangible, measurable improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive risk and vulnerability assessments using standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls
• Provide expert advice on regulatory and compliance requirements, including GDPR, NIS2, DORA, and ISO 27001
• (Optional) Execute technical audits, penetration tests, and red teaming activities, based on your skill set
• Design and implement Information Security Management Systems (ISMS)
• Support the creation of business continuity plans and incident response playbooks
• Produce clear, professional documentation and present findings to both technical teams and executive leadership

What We're Looking For:

• 3-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity consulting or a related role
• Proven experience in implementing ISMS and a solid understanding of ISO 27001
• Strong technical knowledge in network security, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), and endpoint protection
• Familiarity with EU and Belgian cybersecurity regulations and frameworks
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, CEH, or OSCP
