Senior Security Engineer (Web3)

InterQuest are working with a cutting-edge Web3 crypto platform that is pioneering the future of decentralized finance (DeFi) and blockchain technology to bolster their Security standpoint.

Their platform leverages smart contracts, zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs), and secure infrastructure to build scalable, trustless solutions. As they expand, they are looking for a Senior Security Engineer to fortify their systems against emerging threats in both Web2 and Web3 environments.

As a Senior Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the platform’s infrastructure, smart contracts, and cryptographic circuits. You will proactively hunt for vulnerabilities, design automated security tooling, and ensure robust incident response protocols. Your expertise will help secure integrations with external applications while staying ahead of the latest attack vectors in blockchain and traditional systems.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years in security engineering, with at least 2 years in Web3/blockchain security.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure security (AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, firewalls).
• Familiarity with incident response and forensics in blockchain environments.
• Strong coding skills with the ability to write clean, concise code in a language such as Golang or Python

Nice-to-Have

• Contributions to open-source security tools or bug bounty findings.
• Experience with formal verification of smart contracts.
• Background in applied cryptography or zero-knowledge proofs.
• Knowledge of cryptography, consensus mechanisms, and DeFi protocols.
