Our leading Financial Services client is seeking a highly experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a key strategic role focused on delivering critical infrastructure initiatives that align with the organisation’s long-term goals and technology roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end infrastructure projects, ensuring successful delivery within agreed timelines, scope, and budget.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, objectives, and resource allocations.
- Coordinate internal teams and external vendors for flawless project execution.
- Oversee project scope, goals, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Ensure technical feasibility, leveraging best practices and standards across all infrastructure initiatives.
- Perform proactive risk management and develop mitigation plans to address project risks.
- Track project performance and outcomes, ensuring alignment with both short-term goals and broader business strategy.
- Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and third-party service providers.
- Maintain thorough project documentation and ensure compliance with internal frameworks and regulatory standards.
- Work in close partnership with IT teams to ensure that all cloud infrastructure, especially AWS, adheres to required security and compliance benchmarks.
Key Requirements
- Proven track record as an Infrastructure Project Manager, ideally within the Financial Services sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of cloud infrastructure, with hands-on experience in AWS environments.
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure components including networking, servers, virtualization, and data centers.
- Experienced in both Agile and Waterfall project delivery methodologies.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple complex projects concurrently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail, with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Flexibility to work in a hybrid model, combining remote and on-site engagement as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent Project Management certification.
- Experience with DevOps tools and practices is an advantage.
