- Serve as the main contact for global credit risk oversight teams, as well as local and global first line teams, ensuring compliance of PayPal credit risk management wth EU and Luxembourg regulatory requirements
- Actively participate in new credit product launches, ensuring soundness of the set up as well as compliance with local regulatory requirements
- Monitoring performance of the creidt portfolios, identification of early trends and close involvement of definition of remediation plans as needed
- Establishing monitoring and oversight of effectiveness of credit strategies, independently analyzing and interpreting credit data
- Participate in definition of credit risk appetite, in close collaboration with local and global teams, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives as well as full compliance with EU regulatory requirements. Ensuring robust governance of risk appetite, including escalation of breaches.
- Perform independent calculation of a set of metrics (risk appetite, performance, etc.) as a form of control over quality of the data provided by first line teams
- Participate closely and ensure second line oversight of reserving, overlay definition and reserve model changes.
- Review and challenge credit policies and procedures established by first line of defence
- Actively paticipate in internal governance related to credit risk oversight, and rpovide documented second line challenge of the respective proposals
- Establish and maintain independent second line reporting related to credit risk
- 5-7 years in credit risk management or credit risk oversight
- Strong knowledge of credit origination process and credit models
- Working knowledge of SQL, Python/R a strong plus
- FRM or similar professional certification is a strong plus
- Strong knowledge of EU and local Luxembourg regulations
- Ability to work in a dynamic work environment, prioritize tasks and establish strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders

Job Description:
In your day-to-day role you will:
- Interacts directly with our merchants, partners and developers to recognize and articulate business requirements and how best to implement our PayPal solutions, while adhering to PayPal guidelines and company policies
- Act as main technical point of contact for all solutioning and implementation-related activities throughout the integration effort. Facilitate setting up test accounts, provide technical development and coding support, and guide the client through testing and pre-launch activities
- Be the “Voice of the Customer” and relay constructive feedback to Product Managers, Engineering, Technology and other internal groups on ease of use and new functionality. Work with internal teams on any required feature enhancements or to address any solution gaps
- Works with key internal stakeholders, including Product Management, Risk, Payments, etc. to address specific customer business requirements or new product features
- Work closely with internal teams including compliance, privacy, risk, information security, support and operations to ensure all aspects of a partner or merchant launch are managed
- Identify and define solution and integration specific best practices
- Ensure merchants implement optimal integration strategies, techniques and user experience best practices
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance and computer science or Master’s degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience/exposure in the following areas: web and mobile technologies including Web Services, REST APIs, HTML/HTTP, iOS, Android and leading web and mobile application frameworks
- Multiple major programming languages (Java, Node.js, .NET, PHP)
- Exceptional communication skills, in Chinese and English, both written and verbal, Korean will be a plus
- Ability to successfully interact and dynamically adapt to communication styles with all levels of client organizations including C-level executives, middle management, finance and operations, developers, and line personnel
- Ability to translate requirements into detailed design and solution documents
- Ability to quickly assess and troubleshoot most integration issues
- Self-learner for most of the topics on new products with proficiently designed solutions and deliver integrations with both off the shelf and customized products
- 5+ years of experience with Payments (Credit Card, Banking, Online, Offline) or eCommerce Comprehensive knowledge is highly valued
