Bioinformatics Specialist

I am partnering with a Dutch bioinformatics software company based in Amsterdam. They specialize in offering solutions within bioinformatics, interactive data visualization, and AI/machine learning to accelerate biologics discovery and development.

Their robust approach of Bioinformatics alongside Computational power has been driving Drug Discovery and development for a decade.

Their state-of-the art platform offers a powerful software solution designed to help scientists and biopharma companies uncover valuable insights. Its advanced data-handling capabilities accelerate the development of novel immunotherapies, ultimately contributing to better health outcomes.

Your role:

• Transforming complex drug development challenges into tailored bioinformatics solutions for their clients.
• Designing and implementing advanced computational and bioinformatics methodologies, with a strong emphasis on repertoire sequencing and immune-related datasets.
• Supporting the analysis of key R&D initiatives in biomedical science through data-driven insights.

Who you are:

• Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in a relevant discipline such as Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or Biotechnology.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to approach challenges creatively and strategically.
• Clear and confident communicator, both in writing and in speech.
• Solid foundational knowledge of molecular biology and or immunology.
• Proficient in Python, with hands-on experience in data-driven scientific computing.
• Experience handling and analyzing high-throughput sequencing data, particularly next-generation sequencing (NGS).
• Comfortable working in Unix/Linux environments and with command-line tools.
• Skilled in using version control systems for collaborative software development (e.g., Git).
• Familiar with containerized environments and tools such as Docker / Kubernetes

Bonus points:

• Experience with machine and/or deep learning.
• Proficient with multiple coding languages.
• Proficient with cloud providers.
