DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team!

Key Responsibilities

● Automation: Develop and maintain scripts, primarily using Python or Go, to automate routine operational tasks, system deployments, and maintenance procedures.

● CI/CD Pipeline Management: Assist in supporting and enhancing our Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline application builds, testing, and releases.

● Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor system health and application performance

using our observability platforms. A key part of this role involves querying application databases using SQL to diagnose issues, verify deployment statuses, and analyze performance metrics.

● Collaboration and Support: Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues and facilitate a seamless development lifecycle.

● Documentation: Help create and maintain clear documentation for our systems, processes, and automation playbooks.

Required Qualifications

● Solid foundational knowledge of scripting or programming, with some hands-on experience in Python or Go.

● Basic understanding of containerization concepts with Container Runtimes (Docker, Container-d).

● Familiarity with the fundamentals of container orchestration using Kubernetes (K8s)

● Proficiency in writing basic SQL queries for tasks such as data retrieval, filtering, and aggregation to support troubleshooting and monitoring.

● Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.

● A strong aptitude for problem-solving and a genuine eagerness to learn new technologies.

● Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

● Hands-on experience with Google Cloud

● Experience with service mesh technologies like Istio.

● Hands-on experience with observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, and the ELK Stack.

● Familiarity with managing both SQL and NoSQL databases in a production environment.

● Previous exposure to CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Cloud Build

● Hands-on experience with Python, Go
