Rim Product Manager

The Rim Product Manager position involves the strategic management of rim-related products, inventory optimization, and coordination with suppliers. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams and external partners to support the development and growth of the rim product portfolio.

The ideal candidate brings 5–10 years of experience in the automotive industry, with solid expertise in product management, stock control, and supplier negotiations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in product or category management, preferably in the automotive sector
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills
• Strong understanding of supply chain and inventory optimization
• Knowledge of the European automotive aftermarket
• Fluent in English (German is a plus)
• Experience with technical standards, product certification (e.g., TÜV, KBA) – advantage

Key Responsibilities

• Manage stock levels for rims, mounting kits, and sensors, with full monitoring and collaboration with OPC (Operations Processing Center) teams (returns and credit notes)
• Improve self-owned stock availability rates
• Lead purchasing and pricing negotiations with manufacturers
• Align pricing with market trends and existing inventory levels
• Reduce return volumes through internal process improvements and supplier budget negotiations
• Drive assortment expansion for rim products
• Support in-house development of aluminum and steel rims, coordinating with manufacturers, KBA, and TÜV
